How to Apply

The next step is to complete the Model & Talent Enquiry Application. 

Once the enquiry comes to the Agency, we will do an initial assessment of the type of work you may be suitable for. You will receive some basic information via email which is worthwhile taking time to read given as you’ll be closer to deciding if this type of work is for you.  

One of the Ozone staff will contact you to book an appointment for a screen test and audition. You can back out at any time if you feel it’s really not for you, but we encourage people to give it a try!

1. Documents needed for the Online Application

  • Digital image of 'headshot'
  • Digital image of 'head & shoulders’
  • Digital image of 'full body shot’

Some tips on photographs;

  • Cellphone photographs are fine just make sure they are clear
  • Keep to a plain light background
  • Don't be afraid to smile
  • Do make sure that you’re the only one in the shot
  • The full body shot is head to toe

2. Needed when arriving for Screen Test

  • ID document (or Birth Certificate with an ID Number if applicant is a child)
  • Valid work permit or work visa if not South African
  • Passport (if you have one) - recommended
  • Tax Number
  • Confirmation of Bank Details on a bank letterhead OR a bank statement
  • Driver’s license (if you have one)
  • R250 photographic fee (if you decide on the day to shoot images)

SCREEN TESTS & PORTFOLIOS

  • Screen Tests & Auditions take place at our offices in Table View by APPOINTMENT only.  Once your enquiry is received you will be contacted and an appointment set at our studio.
  • Screen Tests & Auditions take place from Monday to Friday during office hours.
  • Basic images (known as polaroids) taken at the audition,  may be used as a starter portfolio of 3 – 4 photographs.
  • Screen Tests & auditions help us to categorize applicants into Models, Talent or Extras.
  • Optional additional portfolios will be discussed with applicants after the Screen Test depending on specific industry needs.

Costs

The current Polaroid cost (photographic fee) is R250.  It takes between 10 & 15 minutes at our studio followed by the completion of documents. Basic photographic updates must be done at least once per year for which a nominal update fee will apply.
